Ride Tips:
Many of you are probobly thinking that kids scared of the dark will not like this ride. WRONG! The ride
isn't completely dark. You can still see easily. Those lights on the tracks (stars) shed enough light to make them happy.
However, I know some kids like to sit next to their parents on roller coasters. On this roller coaster, you can't. Each ship
has three rows, which can only accomodate three people. Two ships are connected to each other so if you have a party of four
five or six, they will give you one of those ships. Either way, your child can't sit next to you on this ride!
Wait Times:
All year round, the stand-by line for Space Mountain is one hour. It is only about five minutes with
the FASTPASS, so I highly reccomend it.
In general with the three Disney mountains, make these your first stop of the day, in this order:
During the Winter: Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain.
During the Summer: Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, then get a FASTPASS for Space Mountain.
Splash mountain gets very crowded during the summer because it is a water flume ride, where you get wet. It feels really good
at this time. Do it in the day to guarentee your ride on it. You can always get a FASTPASS for Splash Mountain later in the
day.
