Description:

Stitch's Great Escape is based on the new Disney animated feature "Lilo & Stitch." This is THE NEWEST RIDE in
Disney World. It is located in the Magic Kingdom in
Tomorrow Land. This replaced the "ExtraTORRESTrial Alien Encounter." What Disney did was just take the ride and gave it a fresh coat of paint to make it less scary to children. The room in which the ride is locates is also still the same, with the seating arrangement intact. The ride takes place during the begining of the movie, when Stitch is evil. The Galactic Federation takes you in as Recruits at is prisioner teleport center. Your job is to keep an eye on these prisioners. While you are being trained, the Galactic Federation gets their hands on a super-evil monster.....Stitch AKA: Experiment 626. Even though you are not properly trained yet, the Galactic Federation decides to keep you in charge of Stitch. During the ride Stitch Escapes from his prisioner tube, cuts off the power in the room, and the fun begins....for Stitch that is.

Ride Tips:

This ride could be too scary for young children, even if they loved the movie. If they are afraid of the dark, DO NOT TAKE THEM ON THIS RIDE. Long portions of this ride are in the dark. If they are not scared of the dark, make sure they won't be scared by the sensory effects in the ride, which I will explain in the spoiler version of this review. I wouldn't be suprised if many young children want to bail out after the pre-show. The pre-show makes the ride look much scarier than it really is.

Wait Times:

Since this is a new ride, I can't say much about the wait times for this ride. When I tried the ride in January (the off-peak season) there wasn't a wait, but plenty of people. This is because the ride takes in many many people at a time. Estimated I think this number is 75. And that is a big number for a theme park attraction. FASTPASS is available for this ride, but I don't think it is neccessary. During the summer the wait time for this ride was an hour.
