Description:

This is the fastest ride in Walt Disney World. It is run by General Motors. The ride is what the name suggests, a test track. This ride will take you through all of the tests that normally crash test dummies go through. But now, you are the dummy. You go through such tests as an Anti-lock brake test, bumby road test, up-hill climb tests, hot and cold temperature tests, speed test, and of course.....the crash test.

Ride tips:

This is a great ride for kids just getting on their first thrill rides. Most of this ride isn't that thrilling but it is exciting, even for adults. If you are taking kids on this ride, they may get scared when they see the entrance to get in line to ride. The actual speed test goes right above the beginning of the line. Disney even put mirrors on the sides of the building so you can see the cars going by on the speed test as you wait in the first part of the line. I HIGHLY recommend Disney's FASTPASS for this ride. Once, I was there and FASTPASS tickets were already taken for the rest of the day by 12:00. It is important to make Test Track your first stop of the day. I even recommend getting a FASTPASS after you ride for the first time so you can go again in an hour before it gets crowded there.

Wait times:

During the Peak Seasons (Thanksgiving holiday, christmas break, spring break, and summer vacation) the standby line could average up to over an hour. However the line is much shorter if you use the single rider option. And then it gets even shorter after that if you use FASTPASS like I recommended. During the off-peak season, the standby line can average anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. The single rider line is usually 10 minutes less than the standby line during the off-peak season.
