Description:

Remember that old show the Twilight Zone? It was a show that told scary stories that all took place........you guessed it! In the twilight zone! For those people who never heard of the twilight zone you may remember by this music. (It is playing right now.) One of the episodes of the Twilight Zone was about the Holywood Tower Hotel. The Holywood Tower Hotel USED to be a famous hotel that all of Holywood's most famous stars would stay at. Today, it is an abandoned, haunted hotel. Back when the hotel was famous, a movie star family got on the hotel's elevator to their rooms. When they were inside the elevator, lighting struck it and the elevator plummeted down into...........The Twilight Zone! Fast Forward to the present day, the elevator is broken. However, the hotel is still run by the goasts that died. You check into the hotel and the only way to get up to your rooms is through the service elevator in the boiler room of the hotel. Later that service elevator leads you straight to.........The Twilight Zone........

One of the Many Jokes of Disney!

Ride Tips:

This is a classic Disney ride. This is also MGM's premiere attraction. Get a FASTPASS if available. This is a thrill ride. The elevator brings you up and drops you. A new feature that was just added to the ride was random ride sequences. Before the elevator would just take you up and drop you a few times. Now you never know what will happen and when. This makes a spoiler review hard but I will try. This ride is located right next to the Rockin Roller Coaster. I suggest getting a FASTPASS for one of them and then getting in the standby line for the other. You can also see the Tower of Terror outside of MGM very easily when you are driving by it! That is how high the elevator drops you.

Wait Times:

Wait times for this ride are extremely variable. In the morining they can be 15 minutes then later in the day can be an hour or longer. FASTPASS is reccomended later in the day and is a MUST during the peak season all day long. The line for the tower of Terror was 120 minutes last time I went in May! Fastpasses ran out by 4:00!
